John Toliver has been building furniture since 1989. In 2006, the Toliver family decided to launch the woodworking/custom furniture business on the Internet. Blue Bench Woodworking is a small, family-owned company that strives to keep each and every customer happy! |

What is your payment policy? |

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and also debit cards that carry those logos. Once you finalize your order with us, we require 50% down. We will notify you when we are ready to ship at which point the remaining balance due will be charged to your credit card.

Perhaps this could best be answered by telling you why you should NOT buy from us! If you want cheaply made furniture that will end up on the garage sale for $20 in a few years, we are not the place for you! But if you want heirloom-quality furniture that you can pass on to the next generation then we have what you want. We know that our furniture stands up to the test of time because we use it, sleep on it, and live with it in our own home! |

What makes your furniture making process different? |

When you contact us to place an order, we send you a simple line drawing with an estimated price. This process continues until you are satisfied. Nothing is “pre-built”. When you give your approval, we start to build. Every piece is designed, cut, sanded and finished to your specifications. You can be assured that when you buy from Blue Bench Woodworking you are receiving a piece of furniture that is uniquely yours – not one of many that have been assembled in a factory! |

What method do you use for shipping? |

Depending on how far you are from northern Illinois, we will either ship it ourselves with our own truck and driver, or ship it via truck freight (curbside delivery). If you would like assistance in unloading, that is available for an additional cost. When you have finalized your order we can estimate shipping cost. |

How long will it take to get my custom made fountain pen? |

Depending on the material you would like your pen to be made of, it will usually take about a week or two for you to recieve your pen. |
